Pascagoula - The Closest Encounter - My StoryBy Calvin ParkerForeword by Philip Mantle(FULL COLOUR EDITION)On October 11th, 1973 nineteen year old Calvin Parker and his friend forty two year old Charles Hickson were spending a frustrating evening fishing on the Pascagoula River in Mississippi. Both men loved to fish but tonight's fishing trip would turn out to be one they would never forget. In the early evening both men were startled when a strange craft descended and hovered a few feet above the ground and just a few yards from their location. Before they had any chance to run an opening appeared in this craft and out 'floated' three humanoid creatures. Both men were absolutely terrified when these creatures grabbed them and took them aboard the craft. On the craft both men were subjected to an examination and at one point they were so terrified as they believed they were about to die. Minutes later both Calvin Parker and Charles Hickson were deposited back on the riverbank and the craft departed. Taking off in their car the two terrified witnesses eventually located a public telephone box and phoned the local sheriff. A short time later they were being interviewed at their local sheriff's office. These two disorientated witnesses told their story of their close encounter and abduction by these strange creatures. The next day all hell was let loose as the press descended on this unsuspecting Mississippi town. Calvin Parker, seriously disturbed by these events, has largely remained in the background without ever detailing the full account of what happened that night, how it affected him and his life, and other close encounters he has experienced down the years. Now, for the first time, Calvin Parker tells his story in full. This book, Pascagoula - The Closest Encounter, tells the story of one of the classic close encounters currently on record. This book features for the first time the full transcript of Calvin Parker's hypnotic regression session with the late Budd Hopkins, one of the world's foremost researchers of this phenomena. The manuscript is also packed full of documents, newspaper cuttings and photographs old and new. This is the full colour edition and a black and white version is also available.

PASCAGOULA - THE STORY CONTINUESNew Evidence & New WitnessesBY CALVIN PARKER(FULL COLOR EDITION)This book is the continuing research into the 'close encounter' event experienced by Calvin Parker and Charles Hickson on the Pascagoula River, Mississippi on the night of October 11th, 1973. It follows-on from Calvin Parker's first and best-selling book 'Pascagoula - The Closest Encounter'. After the first book was published the research did not stop, in fact it intensified. This book will feature the 'smoking gun' document known as the 'puncture wound' document which was located in the files of APRO. Does this one page type-written document confirm that both Hickson and Parker were 'injected' that night by the creatures that abducted them ? The book also has six transcripts of hypnosis sessions with both Parker and Hickson. The first is Calvin Parker under hypnosis literally just three days after the encounter. The second hypnosis session is with Budd Hopkins in 1993. The third hypnosis session is with Kathleen Marden on September 14th, 2019. There are three transcripts of hypnosis sessions with the late Charles Hickson. They are from 1974, 1985 and 1989, the latter two again with Budd Hopkins. If you don't like reading hypnosis transcripts then this book might not be for you. The book also details for the very first time an array of first-hand eyewitnesses to UFOs in and around Pascagoula and elsewhere in Mississippi that night back in 1973. Published here for the first time are details from a first-hand independent eye-witness who was on the opposite side of the river that night. This witness puts his testimony on the record stating that he too saw the 'humanoids' and also witnessed the UFO taking off. Last but not least, the author rounds the book off with an emotional look back at what has happened to him and the official unveiling of an historic marker unveiled by the Mayor in commemoration of what happened to Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker on October 11th, 1973. Like the previous book this one also utilizes an array of photographs, artwork, news cuttings, UFO magazine articles, letters and documents both old and new. Pascagoula-The Story Continues sheds yet more light onto one of ufology's best document alien abduction accounts. This book also has a foreword by the veteran UK UFO researcher Philip Mantle, and an afterword by US scientist, UFO researcher and author Dr. Irena Scott. This is the full color edition and a black and white version is also available.

What is best known about the UFO events of October 1973 is the Pascagoula abduction account of Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker. It began as an extremely credible report, but unlike many reports, intensive research has uncovered a number of additional reports of UFO sightings in the area at around the same time. This number continues to grow and more are given here. This has added to its credibility and because of this, it has been termed the best-documented alien abduction account on record. But much is not known about many elements associated with this event. It had numerous unique aspects, such as that the instruments the beings appeared to use to scan the men resembled such modern devices as the computerized axial tomography (CAT) scan. Such unique factors are compared to additional reports from the same time. This may be the first report of a new type of abduction event; there may have been a second abduction, by the same object at around the same time as Parker and Hickson's. Abductions appear to happen as single events, but this may have been extremely different and the first reported. And there may have even been several abduction attempts on the same night as the Pascagoula abductionIn addition much happened at the same time as the Pascagoula abduction, such as reports of close UFO encounters, a thunderous boom, and similar episodes that swarmed in to bewildered operators in many states across the USA. These events ushered in a massive UFO wave, possibly the largest wave ever experienced and possibly the last wave. The strange boom was no ordinary sound; it was one that, with the exception of the Krakatoa volcanic eruption of 1883, could be the most widespread audible sound ever recorded. It did not happen in some out of the way place; it happened in the nation's vital centers. It was felt in Washington DC, over areas of the nation's highest population density, its heartland, and several vital cities This sound was analyzed according to the latest NASA research on sounds. The boom was quite unnatural and remarkable in many ways. The width of the sound would mean that the object causing it would be many miles high, in outer space, and in a location where there should be no overpressure. However, there was a large area of overpressure such that it broke windows in a swath over at least three states and it appeared able to cause ground movement over a large area. It appeared to defy the laws of physics. Unlike most UFO associated phenomena where there is no hard scientific proof, this sound was recorded on two seismographs, which may provide scientific proof of the existence of anomalous UFO phenomena associated events.

Should digital technology be viewed as a new life form, sharing our ecosystem and coevolving with us? Are humans defining technology, or is technology defining humans? In this book, Edward Ashford Lee considers the case that we are less in control of the trajectory of technology than we think. It shapes us as much as we shape it, and it may be more defensible to think of technology as the result of a Darwinian coevolution than the result of top-down intelligent design. Richard Dawkins famously said that a chicken is an egg's way of making another egg. Is a human a computer's way of making another computer? To understand this question requires a deep dive into how evolution works, how humans are different from computers, and how the way technology develops resembles the emergence of a new life form on our planet. Lee presents the case for considering digital beings to be living, then offers counterarguments. What we humans do with our minds is more than computation, and what digital systems do—be teleported at the speed of light, backed up, and restored—may never be possible for humans. To believe that we are simply computations, he argues, is a “dataist” faith and scientifically indefensible. Digital beings depend on humans—and humans depend on digital beings. More likely than a planetary wipe-out of humanity is an ongoing, symbiotic coevolution of culture and technology.

This is not a book of answers because nobody on any side of the issue really knows what UFOs are. Instead it is a book of questions starting with... What if UFOs are real? What might this mean for Humankind? Do UFOs represent "nuts and bolts" craft piloted by sentient beings from other civilisations in space? Are they visitors from another planet? Are they human-like or human time travellers or beings from some other realm presently unknown to science? Recognition of this could profoundly alter our understanding of the universe and our outlook on life. The analyses and speculations are intended to encourage thought and discussion. The concepts explored here need to be critically examined and measured against the still unfolding UFO manifestation. Meanwhile we need to know what has been credibly reported, what possible explanations there are, and what it might all mean. Why did the CIA run a security clearance on this author without his knowledge or consent? The contents of UFO reports have become increasingly bizarre: stories of alien creatures abducting humans and subjecting them to physical examinations have multiplied. The beings who sometimes appear more like apparitions than solid entities, display almost magical powers, including levitation, telepathy, movement through solid matter, and cause electrical malfunctions. Even if the abduction reports are imaginary, why would intelligent beings repeatedly hover over installations and then dart away, for no apparent purpose? Why would they buzz human vehicles, take soil samples and all the other repetitive actions year after year without doing something to remove all doubt about their nature and purpose? Why do they continue to dazzle us with exotic displays but not make open contact or whole communicate something definite to us?

The date was October 11th, 1973; the location was the Pascagoula Rover, Mississippi. Two shipyard workers Charles Hickson (age 42) and Calvin Parker (age 18) decided to go fishing on the river after work. Both anglers were not having much luck that night and they thought about calling it a night when something happened that would change their lives forever. A dazzling blue light from behind them illuminated the entire scene. Turning round both men watched in awe as a rugby ball-shaped object descended. A door opened and three bizarre looking humanoid entities glided out across to the two terrified onlookers. Both Parker & Hickson later that night made their way to their local Sherriff's Department to tell them that they had been abducted by aliens. It wasn't long before the story found its way into the media and the story went around the world. Charles Hickson readily told his story but Calvin Parker wanted simply to be left along. Hickson co-authored a book with William Mendez in 1983 and it wasn't until 2018 that Calvin parker finally told his story in full for the first time. It was Calvin Parker's book and subsequent publicity that made this case probably the best documented such event on record. It wasn't necessarily what Calvin Parker related in two books but it is what happened when they were published. Much to everyone's surprise more and more firsthand eyewitnesses began to step forward. A number of these witnesses reported seeing something s few days prior to the Parker/Hickson encounter and others a few days after. UFO sightings were made in and around Pascagoula, Mississippi and in neighbouring states as well. Added to that more eyewitnesses stepped forward with their accounts of what they observed on the very same night, that being October 11th, 1973. Two of these witnesses were quite literally on the other side of the river that night at the very same time as Parker and Hickson were experiencing their close encounter. Not only were they on the other side of the river, but they too have related a sequence of events that could indicate that they two had a similar encounter to the two fisherman on the opposite side of the river. The full story of these two witnesses and all of the others are detailed here in full. One last thing that has left the authors completely baffled is what could be 'proof' of a physical contact with something by parker and Hickson that night. Both men reported that when the bizarre looking humanoids took hold of them they felt a king of 'scratch' on 'prick' similar to an injection. The authors have uncovered a document written on October 13th, 1973, just two days after the encounter, that describes a physical examination of the two men and that 'puncture wounds' were located on Charles Hickson's arm and Calvin Parker's foot. The document, located in 2018, also mentioned that photographs of these marks were taken. In the file sadly there was no sign of these photographs. In 2021 when this book was being written the authors received an email from a colleague that mentioned he had accidentally found a couple of photos that he thought we would be interested in. The photographs in question were those mentioned in the 'puncture wounds' document obtained 3 years earlier and show marks on Charles's Hickson's arm and Calvin Parker's foot. These photos will be published here for the first time ever. This book concentrates on the independent eyewitness testimony, the puncture wounds evidence and it is left for the reader to draw their own conclusion.

This Nobel Prize–winning author’s satirical Southern novel is “full of the kind of swift and lusty writing that comes from a healthy, fresh pen” (Lillian Hellman, New York Herald Tribune). If ever there was a William Faulkner novel that could be called a portrait of the artist as a young man, Mosquitoes is that book. Set on a yacht excursion on Lake Pontchartrain, Faulkner’s second novel introduces his readers to the artistic community of New Orleans, a vibrant band of aspiring artists, charismatic dilettantes and social butterflies. A satiric look at the world Faulkner himself inhabited in his early years as a writer, Mosquitoes is a high-spirted, engaging novel from the Nobel laureate–winning author known for his classic portrayals of the American South. “It approaches in the first half and reaches in the second half a brilliance that you can rightfully expect only in the writings of a few men.” —Lillian Hellman
