This list embraces accidents from all causes. Braxton County - May 9, 1923, James M. Hinzman and Louis F. Flint, Americans, coal loaders, were instantly killed at Home mine, Home Coal Company, by an explosion Of powder while preparing shot. Brooke County - June 26, 1923, Fred Cooper and Eugene Murphy, Ameri cans, miners, nere killed at the stripping operations of Locust Grove mine, West virginia-pittsburg Coal Company, when bank caved in.
