Marty Cole began his journey Sept. 17, 1953, when he was born in Santa Monica, California. At six years old, he entered military school, and from age six to eleven, he was verbally, physically, emotionally, mentally, and psychologically abused. Sometimes, he was beaten so badly, he bled. When he returned home at age fifteen, it was tough to adjust to home life after nine years away. He asked his father if he could get his own apartment. No problem, son. Ill get you your own place to live, he said. And he did. Finally, Cole started living, enjoying the sexual freedom of the late 1960s and early 1970s to the fullest. Life was amazing. But when he was sixteen and eighteen years of age, two different men raped him. Later, he was diagnosed with cancer. He sought counseling, and what he learned is that he needed to forgive and that love heals all people, places, and things if you believe it will. Whether youve suffered abuse, are trying to help someone who has, or are battling a serious disease or illness, youll be inspired by My Amazing Transformation of Love, Courage, and Wisdom.

"Journey of Love" is a story of two kindred spirits from opposite sides of the world destined by grace and united by joy, music, and the soul’s unrelenting urge toward spiritual fulfillment. As our current society influences us to become more polarized and isolated from each other, “Journey of Love” gives us an insight into the perspective of another to reveal that we are inherently more alike than we are different. We all want to love and be genuinely loved in return. We each want to feel that our life has a purpose, And for many of us, we are called by the whispering voice in our heart that invites us toward our spiritual awakening. Although Journey of Love is the memoir and life lessons of two unique individuals, in actuality it’s one story, the story that each of us as divine spiritual beings having a human experience are all currently living. It is our narrative as consciousness told through the individual lenses of Aurora and Marty, celebrating what it means to be alive.

“If you don't do anything, nothing will happen.” Nancy De Los Santos Reza learned this important lesson early in life. College wasn't an option, so she got a job as a secretary. A colleague, an older woman who had taken a liking to her, encouraged Nancy to ask her supervisor about attending a professional conference in California. “What's the worst that could happen?” the woman asked. “They say 'no' and you don't go? You're already not going.” As a result, Nancy found herself in San Francisco on a life-changing trip. She would go on to earn two college degrees and become the producer of Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel's movie review program, At the Movies. De Los Santos Reza's is one of eight inspiring personal essays by Latinas included in this collection. Each contributor overcame obstacles to happiness and success, and here they share their life lessons in the hopes of motivating others. Whether overcoming fear, guilt or low self-esteem, these women seek to encourage others to discover their personal power. With a foreword by acclaimed musician Vikki Carr, 8 Ways to Say I Love My Life and Mean It! contains chapters by women from a variety of professional backgrounds. Contributors include Latin Heat president Bel Hernandez Castillo and playwright and author of Real Women Have Curves, Josefina Lopez. Performed as monologues in 2009 in Los Angeles, the sold-out, ten-run show received a rave review in the Los Angeles Times and an Imagen Award, which recognizes positive portrayals of Latinos in the media. Designed to help women believe in the power of self-love and inner strength, this book will appeal to all women who seek a path to fulfillment.

When you look in the mirror, what do you see: a person who truly believes he/she is on the right path, or one struggling daily to find a sense of identity? More importantly, how do you see God as you seek the purpose for your life: as your back pocket Lord, or as your personal guide? For some, they may feel they are on the right path but have drifted away from discerning and understanding God’s will for them. This inspired pastor and author Dennis Lee to establish a meaningful resource for readers wanting to grow in their relationship with God, in his new Christian discipleship book; From Here to There: A Journey to Spiritual Transformation, part of his Spiritual Formation series. As an “A through Z roadmap on discipleship,” Dennis offers readers a biblically-sound guide to familiarize readers to biblical principles of what it’s like to be a follower of Jesus Christ, being found in His likeness. Each chapter clarifies this developing relationship with God, established when you accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord, and furthered through changing how you approach living this life in Christ. Pastor Lee takes the reader along this narrow road described by Jesus, looking at a Christian’s true identity when pursuing God’s presence and becoming aligned with His will. To make sure his readers’ stay upon this path, Lee looks at Satan’s potholes that damages a person’s spiritual transformation, as well as God’s speed bumps to help believers slow down and not miss God’s promises for their lives. It’s a journey to the ultimate destination of Heaven with God, and this guide will help you make the necessary changes and take the required steps to stay upon God’s path.
