Neen, dubbed Little Elf because of her small stature, had worked all year on one of Santa's assembly lines, wrapping dolls for delivery on Christmas Eve, and she was proud of what she had accomplished. But something puzzled her. Why, she wondered, did Santa's elves work so long and so hard, without complaint, just to make the world's children happy on one day of the year? It didn't make any sense to her. What is so special about that day? She'd asked just about everyone she knew, but no one seemed to know or, if they knew, they wouldn't tell her. Finally, on Christmas Eve, curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to find out for herself. She knew she didn't have the nerve to ask Santa Clause a big question like that. So she waited until Santa's sleigh was fully loaded and then stowed away, hoping to find out what Santa was up to and why he did it. That led to a harrowing flight, at the end of which she hadn't learned a thing. Her quest was almost over, and her hopes were fading when fate stepped in and turned her world upside down. It was then that through skill and daring she finally learned the true meaning of Christmas. The question was: Now that she knew, how could she get home because Santa Claus and his sleigh had left without her? The six curious stories in part two tell us the author's truths about Cinderella, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Old King Cole. Some of these stories, although interesting, may be too shocking for little minds. But still, as parents, it's always better to know than to wonder.

Having taken advanced classes in Marxism and socialist dogma, and having lived it, lifelong friends Barten Colby and Joel Wilbur are well-versed in the subject. Even so, they differ markedly in their fundamental beliefs. Bart, a rising star, is a staunch socialist tending toward communism while Joel, still harboring serious doubts, guards his thoughts carefully. Both were midlevel managers in the socialist government until Bart was unexpectedly elevated to level two, only one step removed from the oligarchs who rule satellite America. Joel replaced him as manager of the global life and environmental glorification project. Their close relationship is strained, however, when Joel lets slip a word, endangering both of them, while at the same time bringing him to the attention of a covert group intent on overthrowing the socialist regime in America. Joining that group, Joel soon finds himself tasked to surveil region nine to determine if there is any support there for the group's activities since the people's support is essential, and there are far more people in that hellish slum region than in all the other regions in America combined. This puts Joel in the precarious position of working for the regime while, at the same time, working to destroy it, all the while under close twenty-four-hour surveillance. One more slip could be lethal. But his efforts are rewarded when he not only falls in love with Celia Noel, the woman who enticed him to join the group, but is taken in by a struggling family and is befriended by two Christian ministers, laboring under threat of death, and an American expatriate who is trying to raise a clandestine army in region nine. Bart continues to make his mark as he meets and falls in love with Sara Comely, a classmate from his youth, and rises to the top of the International Socialist Democracy.

The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition is an activity the entire family will enjoy. Based on the tradition Carol Aebersold began with her family in the 1970s, this cleverly rhymed children's book explains that Santa knows who is naughty and/or nice because he sends a scout elf to every home. During the holiday season, the elf watches children by day and reports to Santa each night. When children awake, the elf has returned from the North Pole and can be found hiding in a different location. This activity allows The Elf on the Shelf to become a delightful hide-and-seek game.

In Santa's Christmas village at the North Pole, the elves celebrate special days all year round. Apart from Christmas, though, nothing is more exciting to a scout elf than a birthday--and elves celebrate birthdays with a tradition that goes back thousands of years. Now, at the request of children from around the world, Santa has given his scout elves special permission to share that birthday tradition with the families they love. An elf cannot come to a celebration, though, unless it is invited.

Santa's World, Introducing Santa's Elf Series What if I told you Santa Claus needed a great deal of help all year? Almost every person has heard the stories and legends about his famous Christmas Eve journeys. But few know about his helpers and what they do all year long. Santa has a great many elves who make the things he accomplishes possible. Santa, with the help of the North Pole, developed a series to teach young and old alike about some of his best elves. This series explains what they do at the North Pole through rhyme and beautiful illustrations. Beginning with this book, Santa's World, he talks about how it would be impossible to do his job without help. More importantly, Santa's World explains the genuine reason why Santa brings gifts. It is because he wants to demonstrate God's love, and remind them of the greatest gift of all time. That is, and always has been, the real reason of Christmas. The author also added a special message from Santa Claus about showing respect by saying please, thank you, and excuse me when interrupting or bumping into someone. Something all children should learn and practice everyday. About Santa's Elf Series© by the author, Joe Moore: Even as I was writing the first novel in the Santa Claus Trilogy, I envisioned an entire world at the top of the globe. I knew the most die-hard believer in Santa Claus would realize that this magical gift-giver would need assistance in achieving his task at Christmas. So I began to think about who these helpers were, and what their responsibilities to Santa might be. Then I started writing. And to my surprise, as I wrote, the stories came out of me in rhyme! The cadence and beat of the verses were lyrical. As I spoke to others, including a good many teachers and librarians, they told me this was the easiest way for children to learn and that I should keep the verses coming. I also heard from parents about their frustrations trying to instruct their children in the primary lessons of life; such as picking up after themselves, being polite, sharing, brushing their teeth, and so on. So I put a special message from Santa Claus at the end of each story about each of these lessons. Even complex problems like bullying, showing gratitude, and listening to elders gets addressed in these books. It never hurts to learn these lessons throughout the year. I wrote nearly 20 books in this series, each focusing on a particular elf and their role to Santa. My wife and illustrator, Mary, is doing her best to get these magical tales drawn and into your child's hands. Since she works so hard fully illustrating every page and includes elements like shapes, colors, and even geography, it takes her a little while to complete each book. We have a half dozen released and more “in the works.” I have already heard about new traditions started during Christmas with my Santa Claus Trilogy and families. I am hoping that these will also become part of your celebrations. Make Santa's Elf Series© a new tradition for your family and collect the entire series. The following is a list of the currently published books in the series: Santa's World, Introducing Santa's Elf Series Jamie Hardrock, Chief Mining Elf Shelley Wrapitup, Master Design Elf Keeney Eagleye, Naughty/Nice List Manager Sarah Buttons, Master Dollmaker Ford MacHarley, Master Wheelsmith Learning can be fun! As this book proves, while reading the rhyming verses, they can learn about Santa Claus and his wonderful elves while looking at the beautiful illustrations. They also learn the real meaning of Christmas and how to stay on Santa's nice list.
