The ghosts of the past donat always stay at rest. In Johnson County, Kentucky, we have the haunted houses to prove it. The stories that are held in this book are told as truth. We each have heard stories that are hard to believe, but do we believe them? Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction, but you be the judge. The people shared their stories with me, and now you believe wholeheartedly in what they have to say. From a Confederate soldier in downtown Paintsville, to the kitten in a lonely widowas home, each story is nothing less than a fact. These tales of the supernatural cover different areas of Johnson County, from Hager Hill to Flat Gap. So sit back and enjoy the goose bumps that will soon creep across your skin as you read the first-hand accounts of my friends and neighbors.
