'Jesus Saves! Moses Invests!' are certainly two shocking sentences side by side, aren't they? When I first saw them presented as they are, I was confounded and conflicted, as I explain more fully in chapter one. But out of this confusion I came to more clarity on just what the Lord wanted me to know about savings and investments in several areas of my life including my finances. In the various chapters of this book I have attempted to cover a number of topics that can occur in one's life in reference to properly managing finances, possessions, positions, profits, and a host of other things that come our way when we 'buy up opportunities' as they are presented to us. I have learned through many years of living in good times and bad times, 'up' times and 'down' times that there is more to life than gathering an abundance of things in what the advertisers like to call the 'good life that you deserve.' I have been greatly blessed to have all that I need plus the extras . . . as the parable says 'enough and to spare.' It is the 'spare' that I talk about in this book. What to do with the 'extras' that I have been allowed to possess! Investing is a grand topic! It envisions planting and reaping a greater harvest! Abundance! More of everything! It promotes excitement in seeing little become much! Who doesn't thrill to having greater success with every investment? But as this happens, there are questions that arise. Questions like: What will I do with this surplus? How will I spend it or save it or invest it? Who should I trust to help me manage it? And a multitude of other considerations! Please know that this book is not an exhaustive study or even an attempt to share advice in the area of investments, but rather an agreement with the Lord that I would give my life full-time to the ministry of the Gospel, if He would help me to financially prosper enough to have a sufficient retirement in my latter years. We both have kept the terms of our agreement. My Lord is the best counselor-partner that anybody could ever have in this life and in the life to come!

Smart and Funny, the Underlying Search for Meaning is Never Lost THE NEXT STEP is the story of a man coming to terms with his upended life. As a boy, CB wanted to join the circus. He loved the music of the calliope and marveled at the daring of the human cannonball. But now, self-realization has produced paralysis followed by grand schemes and magical thinking: messianic urges brought to life through the wonders of raw talent, teleporting and FedEx. CB’s personal journey takes him from the left field bleachers of Ebbets Field to Venice, the Holy Land, even to the casinos of Las Vegas. In the process, he reinvents himself and saves the world. From the Ireland of St. Brendan to the baking deserts of Death Valley-- from the ancient rites of the Druata to the televangelists of modern times-- from the source of the greatest of human evils comes the tale of a demon with the most terrifying powers ever known-- A street bum finds all the water in his body turned to wine-- on a hospital AIDS ward, a young man checked at 7:00pm is found dead an hour later, his body appearing as if it had lain in the sun for three days -- a homeless woman accepts a gift of bread and fish from a stranger, only to find it multiply within her, exploding her from within-- Reverend Carrillee Maitland can find no sense or link between these bizarre deaths, and in an election year, there simply is no street crime in the city. It takes the assistance of Nick Praetorius, a man with a mysterious medallion and a centuries-old manuscript, to help Carrillee discover that not everyones idea of divine intervention is the same. For some, it means salvation; to others, it could mean a terrifying death by the most ancient words of the western world.

Elderly Holocaust "survivor" Jack (Yaakov Stein) now lives in Melbourne. After trying to pass off a false testimony to a young Catholic photographer, Ian Gross, he then relents and tells us the truth ... Or does he? With false memoirs all the rage, this is clearly a fictitious story with some real characters, at once highly entertaining and deadly serious. Ernst Leitz II ("the photography industry's Schindler") not only designed and manufactured Germany's most famous camera, the Leica, but also saved hundreds of Jewish lives from certain death during the Holocaust. From the kernel of this true story, Joe Reich weaves an interesting - sometimes outrageous - blend of fact and fiction, historical and contemporary times, drawing the reader into the fictional life and exploits of the protagonist. "Joe has the ability to seamlessly merge history with the present, and create a most readable and enjoyable story." - Nicolas Brasch, author of Gallipoli Reckless Valour "Ein Stein is a real page turner and a terrific read." - Esther Kister, Chairperson Melbourne Jewish Book Week

The present study treats the practices of Western banking and contrasts them broadly with Islamic banking. It illumines the "invisible treads" uniting war and capitalism, following the lead of Werner Sombart. An example of money inflation is adduced from the sixteenth century precedent of bullion inflation and its economic consequences. For long-term analysis as well as predictive value the author adopts the "long cycle" hypothesis of the Russian economist K.D. Dmitriev and as expounded by contemporary Russian economists. The author concludes that the operation of the sixth "long wave" of economic acceleration may well necessitate the collapse and transformation of the current American political regime during the third quarter of the twenty-first century. Subsequent chapters in the Afterward trace the path of revolutionary Puritan colonists into the Pioneer Valley in central Massachusetts, before entering and forming a significant ethnic portion of the banking industry. Later chapters illumine the aspirations of a later Puritsn descendent to establish a military dictatorship in America, after a second invasion of Mexico, thus illustrating the contnuity of Puritan military aspirations from Philip Dru: Administrator to the border vigilantes of the present day.
