Continued with the army under the Prince of Orange; commanded the British and Dutch Artillery, under General Bergh, at Mons---in advance of the position 0?' the allied army-during the battle of Waterloo; and was present with the Dutch Artillery, at the blockade and bombardment of Conde: and with the British Artillery, under Sir Alexander Dickson, when the Prussian army entered Maubeugo and Philipville; after which he advanced to Paris, and continued with the army of occupation until its return to England. 70 Captain Timothy Dillon, after serving in Ireland in the Rebellion in 1798, sailed with the 2nd (Que-en's) on the expedition to the Helder in 1799, and was present in the battles of the 19th Sept., 2nd and 6th October. He next served the Egyptian campaign of 1801 (medal), including the action on the landing, blockade of Aboukir, actions of the 13th and 21st March, bombardment and surrender of Fort St. J ulien, taking of Fort Rahmania together with about 800 French troops coming to its relief; surrender of Grand Cairo and of Alexandria.
