It is very difficult, if not impossible, for most of us to read and interpret the Bible objectively. I have espoused the belief for years that "The first casualty of biblical interpretation is objectivity." We enter our study of the Bible with all the things others have taught us. We carry all our religious baggage with us as we study and learn, and are thus reinforcing our predetermined beliefs rather than discovering the spirit of the message in scripture.for instance, when you have been taught that Christians go to church on Sunday and worship God, and there are specific requirements that God wants to see happen during these "formal worship" times, you tend to use scripture to prove and support that premise rather than honestly seek to understand what was written. After all, those practices, rituals, ceremonies, or "Acts of Worship" are laws commanded by God and they must be obeyed - or are they? Most Christians are surprised to find out that nowhere in the New Testament does it ever say that the followers of Jesus met together on Sunday to worship. We impose that definition from our own traditions. Worship was never a time and place but a life given as a "living sacrifice" to God.The things that God's people do when they come together are more a product of traditions, preferences, and manmade ceremonies. God's Tool Box is a challenge to rethink how we look at many of the things we do when we are together. If God is simple and clear about what He wants, he is not in the business of creating hoops for His followers to jump through or religious jigsaw puzzles that people need to piece together and "figure out." He wants us to love Him completely and learn to do that by loving one another. Everything He calls on us to do is to support that goal.God's Tool Box is a call to a paradigm shift in how we view God's requirements for helping each other grow in love. Instead of giving us rituals, ceremonies, acts of worship, or any list of "religious requirements," He gave us tools. Tools are used to get a job done. They are not the god to be worshipped or rituals to perform. They are practical tools with practical results.God's tools are anything He gives us that we can use to help others grow closer to Him, and as a result, help us grow also. I have fourteen tools in the box and there may be more. Whatever they are, they are used as a support, not the goal or focus.

I was sitting in church one Sunday morning, and my pastor, Todd Braswell, walked out on the platform with a toolbox. We all couldn't help but smile, even giggle a little, because we knew it was gonna be good! He opened the toolbox and pulled out one tool at a time. Pastor Todd told us what they were and their purpose. He also shared the importance of using them correctly. Afterward, he put the tools back and closed his toolbox. He ministered to us how the tools GOD has placed in us would never do any good unless we opened up and used them! Later that evening, I was praying, and it seemed all I could say was, "GOD, awaken the tools in me!" HE began to show me how some of the tools in me were the fruit of the Spirit. Before I knew it, GOD gave me the vision of Toolbox Jim. I wrote what I heard from my FATHER, and now it is in your hands. Toolbox Jim is an incredible avenue to teach children the fruit of the Spirit. Watch as Toolbox Jim opens himself up and shares the tools he has inside--the tool of love, tool of peace, tool of joy, and more. As you read Toolbox Jim, children will learn the value of the fruit of the Spirit and how to use these tools in their everyday life. I am rejoicing with you as GOD awakens the tools in you! (Galatians 5:22-23).

"I may be forgiven (maybe), but after what I've done, my life is basically over." "I'm damaged goods now. Forgiven? Sure. Able to be used? Maybe for little stuff (maybe), but never again for anything important." Ever thought things like that? Join the club! They're lies, though - lies we often speak to ourselves. Broken Tools In God's Hands was written so you can know God's rescuing grace more deeply and be set free to serve Him with new hope and joy in your heart. Do you think God can't use you when you're broken? Then ponder this: The truth is, God can only use you as He desires when you're broken - when you plainly see your sinfulness, your helplessness, your need for the Savior. That's when Jesus can pour out His blood-bought declaration of "not guilty" into your life, declare you to be His perfect tool, and use you for mighty things. Author Keith Ellerbrock invites you to take a close look at the ugly underbelly of some of the biblical heroes of faith so you can see that they were just as messed up by nature as you are, then take a closer look at God's amazing grace toward them to see that since the blood of Jesus was able to forgive and cleanse these flawed and tainted saints, it's more than able to forgive and cleanse you. Just as God gave them second, third, and however many chances, so He gives those clean do-overs to you. And He will use you. You have His Word on it! St. Louis native Keith Ellerbrock has been a pastor in the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod for 25 years. He currently serves Trinity Lutheran Church in Bridgeton, Missouri. He's the undeservedly blessed husband of Dawn and father of Erin, Adam, and Daniel.

You will gain knowledge and understanding of how God’s great mission to redeem mankind was accomplished through His only begotten son, Jesus Christ. Our Lord, Jesus Christ was God’s gift to the world as the Messiah, the sent one from God, to restore the relationship between man and God by repairing the schism created by Adam’s betrayal of God and his fall in the Garden of Eden. Jesus came as a humble servant of God, equipped by God with all of the tools needed to accomplish the work. In this book, Rev. Garcia examines the spiritual tools included in the toolbox of the Master Carpenter, Jesus, as He goes about His Father’s business to fulfill the work of reconciliation. Your appreciation for all that Christ accomplished to enable reestablishing a personal one-on-one relationship between each human and our Father will expand significantly as you dig deeper into the book. In Christ, you will see the blueprint for the new man which He uses to restore the fallen man and repair the broken ones to be as He is, and lead them back to God. You will learn how the ultimate goal of building the family of God is being accomplished by the Lord Jesus Christ in His own body, one soul at a time.

This book is part of a series with 16 Bible studies of basic teachings for followers of Jesus. This book covers the first four teachings; The fear of God, Faith, Repentance, and God's plan of Salvation. These studies are a resource for personal growth or a tool to share with others individually or in a group setting. The following is a brief overview of previously mentioned topics: Fear. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and is also the beginning point on our journey to know God. As we approach God, we must first understand that He is Almighty, supremely Holy, and will not tolerate sin, and we are the polar opposite. He desires to have fellowship with us, but our sin is an obstacle that separates us from him. The more we understand the distance between his infinite holiness and our utter sinfulness, the more we will grow in our fear of the Lord. Faith. How important is our faith? Our eternal future depends on where we place our trust. Regarding eternity, the only thing that matters is what you believe about Christ. This study provides evidence for the existence of God and that Jesus was the promised Messiah and the only salvation for mankind. Faith has evidence from many sources, God's creation, prophecy fulfilled and confirmed by archeological and historical records, testimonies of the prophets and patriarchs, miracles, signs, wonders, and the apostle's witness of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. Faith is like a journey, and each experience of our faith builds on the previous ones. In the process, we change and grow in our understanding of God and ourselves. Repentance. The nature of fallen man is to stray away from God, and even blood-bought born-again believers can stray from God. But through repentance, we turn around to get on the right track and seek God. Whether a lost soul in the pit of despair, lukewarm pew sitters flirting with the devil, or an entire nation with a cloud of judgment hanging overhead, it is only humble repentance that can move us from guilt and condemnation to becoming the object of God's mercy and forgiveness. Salvation. For many Christians, when you say the plan of salvation, they will automatically go into "cliché mode" and parrot the same shallow standardized canned responses. In this study, we go from Genesis to Revelation and explain God's plan of salvation. That plan began in eternity before the world existed when God planned for Christ to be the lamb slain, and he wrote the names of the redeemed in his book of life. We show why we need salvation, how we cannot save ourselves, and why Christ is the only one who can save us. This study will help Christians have a greater appreciation for the person and work of Christ and equip them to share their faith with others. Because we are in the end times, our world is changing quickly to line up with Bible prophecy. Jesus said the signs of his return would be like birth pangs, growing in intensity and frequency and globally. All those signs happen at once, and we can see them happening in real-time with wars, food shortages, pandemics, shutdowns, and natural disasters, all leading to a one-world government ruled by the antichrist. Also, there will be a great falling away from Christ, with churches becoming perverted, politically woke, and government-controlled. Eventually, all true believers will have to come out of the dead institutional denominations and fake churches. Thank God we have a blessed hope that Jesus will rapture the church before wrath and judgment hit the earth! While we have time and freedom, we should study the scriptures, share the gospel, and learn to live by faith. This book is part of a series of basic teachings that all Christians should know and teach. We call it the "toolbox series" because each study is a tool for you to share your faith with others.
