The kingdom of God and the atonement are two of the most important themes in all of Scripture. Tragically, theologians have often either set the two at odds or focused on one to the complete neglect of the other. In The Crucified King, Jeremy Treat demonstrates that Scripture presents a mutually enriching relationship between the kingdom and atonement that draws significantly from the story of Israel and culminates in the crucifixion of Christ the king. As Israel’s messiah, he holds together the kingdom and the cross by bringing God’s reign on earth through his atoning death. The kingdom is the ultimate goal of the cross, and the cross is the means by which the kingdom comes. Jesus’ death is not the failure of his messianic ministry, nor simply the prelude to his royal glory, but is the apex of his kingdom mission. The cross is the throne from which he rules and establishes his kingdom. Using a holistic approach that brings together the insights of biblical and systematic theology, this book demonstrates not only that the kingdom and the cross are inseparable, but how they are integrated in Scripture and theology.

If evangelism would not be perceived as an integral part of the calling of a church into a royal priesthood, then, many spiritual challenges would be evident in the life of the corresponding body of Christ. The individuals within the body of Christ and the ministry as a whole would experience spiritual imbalance in their growth and at most unhealthy Christian living and doctrinal challenges. The interlink between evangelism ministry and the royal priesthood calling of the church is the main proponent of this book. Evangelism God's Way, approaches this argument from both theological and some practical insights and provides a fresh comprehension of what, why, and how evangelism forms the core part of a royal priesthood ministry, both at individual and church levels. The book is handy and parked with scriptural insights on how God would develop this understanding throughout the Biblical revelation. It is a must-read for any Christian, a minister, or a church leader, and can be shared in a Bible study setting to enrich the body of believers with who they are as members of this precious calling of the Lord. As it is stated in this book, "the church is only as strong as it is in evangelism", and as one goes through the pages of this book one continues to realise how true this statement is.

This story starts before the beginning of time, before our present day earth existed as we know it. Our scientific world claims that the earth is billions of years old. The Bible does not tell us the age of the earth, only the approximate age of our present earth as it is now. It wouldn't matter to us how old the earth is or what went on, except that back there sometime something went wrong, or did it? Was Satan supposed to be a part of our learning process right from the start? Did God love us so much even before he created us that he made sure his perfect plan that he had for us would bring us to Him out of pure love? A lot has happened since the time God created Adam, the first man, and Abraham, God's trusted friend, whom he picked to produce the seed that would lead to his coming to earth (God incarnate) in the form of Jesus Christ, his only begotten son.How could God produce or create beings capable of absorbing and growing his kind of love? When he created Lucifer, he had the very best of the most beautiful material, the most valuable, the most wisdom and knowledge – you might say the ultimate of all known things to fashion him from – and somehow sin and vanity crept into the equation. Yet, when God reproduced his son, he came up perfect in every way, the same as the father. So it would seem that all known things, spiritual and those manifested, could not produce the love that God wanted to give to his children, all that is except his holy spirit. To be part of the God family, you had to be born again – born of the spirit. So God sent his own Son as a forerunner of God's Elect to make up a holy nation. The Bible tells us that God walked the earth to find a righteous man. Don't forget that Abraham was not a Jew; he was simply the only righteous man on earth at that time. From the seed of Abraham came a line of people known as Jews or Israelites. The nation, Israel, was to be a Holy Nation of Kings and Priests. Right from the start, God spoke of Abraham's seed and, ultimately, that seed led to Jesus Christ. All who have Christ in them are of Abraham's seed because Christ was of the seed of Abraham. As the story goes, everyone on earth has the same opportunity for eternal life through Christ. May everyone who reads this book come a little closer to our God and Savior through a story that started long before the beginning of time, a story about how a just and perfect King, along with his saints (born again), will rule the world and utopia will finally be as God planned it in the beginning. Since God claimed me in a more personal way fourteen years ago, my life has been one of study and prayer. The urge for knowledge has been constant. God says, “My people perish for a lack of knowledge.” Since that time, I have had numerous dreams, visions, words of knowledge and much guidance. I am not attempting to interpret the Bible, only to give you my understanding, so far, in my quest for the truth. Some of the understandings I have had have become clearer to me through my writing and I hope this book will make them clearer to my readers.

For many people, remaining optimistic and feeling positive about themselves and their lives is a constant battle—especially when circumstances are difficult and life is hard. For others, negativity is something that only sneaks up from time to time, yet still wreaks havoc in their hearts. Regardless of the root causes, once pessimistic thoughts permeate our minds, our feelings and emotions begin to control us instead of us controlling them. Eventually it doesn’t seem possible to stay positive, happy, and full of joy, and negative thought patterns shake our faith, causing us to sink emotionally, mentally, and spiritually over time. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Despite what storms roll in, hearts anchored in God don’t sink. When we change the way we think, we can change the way we feel and live, even if our circumstances remain the same. Intentionally embracing the opportunity to experience a transformed heart and a renewed mind opens the door for a changed life, because a positive mind will always lead to a more positive life. In Unsinkable Faith, author and Proverbs 31 Ministries speaker Tracie Miles offers hope for women who struggle with negativity. Each chapter explores Tracie’s and other women’s personal stories, showing how they rose above their circumstances by transforming and renewing their minds. Unsinkable Faith is a breath of fresh air for anyone longing for a heart full of joy, an unbreakable smile, and a new, more optimistic perspective on life. This book will equip you to: Replace pessimism with positive thinking by becoming the captain of your thoughts; Learn how true joy and happiness are based on choice, not circumstances; Overcome unhealthy habits of negative thinking by intentionally implementing three easy mind-renewing steps; Stop feeling hopeless and pitiful, and start feeling hope-filled and powerful instead; and Discover that when you change the way you think, you change the way feel, and in turn you can change your life completely.

What if you could hold in your hand a resource that would jump start your sermon writing process, allowing you to save time and still deliver a trustworthy sermon? Dr. Paul Cannings, once a young pastor himself, remembers the days of struggling to balance it all. Now he has written a helpful guidebook that provides everything a pastor or lay teacher needs to write an effective, moving, and biblically sound sermon for each of the fifty-two weeks in the year. In Big Idea Sermons, Dr. Cannings clearly lays out the key components of a good sermon by including sermon outlines, series, background information, illustrations, holiday messages for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Mother's and Father's Day, and more. He also includes references to the Hebrew and Greek texts for further validation. By working with the original languages, Dr. Cannings proclaims the gospel in a clear, engaging, and trustworthy manner.
