Bounded by the Green and Dirty Devil Rivers it extends north westward from Cataract Canyon of the Colorado River to the crest of the San Rafael Swell and to the Denver Rio Grande Western Railroad in the vicinity of the town of Green River. It includes an area of about square miles.
