Download Thirty-Ninth Annual Report of St. Luke's Hospital Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Excerpt from Thirty-Ninth Annual Report of St. Luke's Hospital: From October 1, 1901 to September 30, 1902 We desire to express our grateful appreciation of the liberality and interest shown by the friends of the Hospital, which has enabled us to close another year without deficit in current accounts, with additions made to the facilities for doing the work of the Hospital, and with the mortgage indebtedness reduced. The expenditures for the current expenses of the Hos pital have increased this year over last, five per cent; the work done as shown by the number of patient days has increased twelve per cent; and, as stated, the expenditure has been entirely met from receipts intended for current needs during the year with a credit balance of $17 4. This is the third year in succession that we have been able to make this showing and we trust that it will strengthen the faith and increase the energy of the friends of St. Luke's. Download Fifty-Fourth Annual Report of St. Luke's Hospital Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Excerpt from Fifty-Fourth Annual Report of St. Luke's Hospital: From October 1, 1915 to December 31, 1916 It is a pleasant duty to make public acknowledgment of the receipt of a most generous gift from Mr. Hobart W. Williams of real estate at 19, 21, 23, and 25 South Water Street, valued at as an endowment, the income from which is to be applied to the current ex penses of operating the Hosp-ital. This increase in income comes at a most opportune time, when we were feeling most acutely the pressure of the very great increase in the cost of practically everything used in the Institution.
