"The Eastern shepherd does not drive his sheep. He depends upon force or fear; but going vefore, he calls them. They know his voice, and obey the call. So does the Saviour-Shepherd with His sheep...It is not the fear of punishment, or the hope of everlasting reward, that leads the disciples of Christ to follow Him. They behold the Saviour's matchless love, revealed throughout His pilgrimage on earth, from the manger of Bethlehem to Calvary's cross, and the sight of Him attracts , it softens and subdues the soul. Love awakens in the heart of the beholders. They hear His voice, and they follow Him." -The Desire of Ages, p. 480This lovely new devotional book compiled from the writings of E. G. White is a wonderful overview of key points in the New Testament - full of challenge and encouragement to aspire to higher ground in your walk to Jesus.

Fear Not Little Flock!! Dear reader (unbeliever or believer), This book was born out of one of Bethel Holiness Pentecostal Apostolic Ministries' Bible studies (School of Purpose and Promise). As we studied the very relevant topic "the future," this was given to me as teacher at the closing of the year 2019 for the new year 2020. You see, we had just completed a study called "hope for the future," which also depicts the end-time, signs of the Lord's second coming, the antichrist reign, etc., and so as customary, I sought the Lord's direction as to what should be our next lesson. I was divinely instructed and felt compelled with these words: "stay on the topic as it is relevant to the times." I obeyed and structured the lesson accordingly for 2020. Then came the virus that took over the world and threw the globe in chaos--COVID-19. The future--this topic speaks to both the future of the saved or believers and the damned or unbelievers. We got to a portion in the lesson that outlined heaven as the final dwelling place of the saints under the subhead "Heaven A Safe Deposit for Treasures/Investments." Our guided scriptures led us to Luke, chapter 12, verses 15-34, where the Lord told the parable of the rich fool who had no investments for heaven and his unpreparedness for an eternity in heaven. The Lord further reminded his little flock (verse 32) not to be anxious over the cares of this world, life's luxuries, pleasures, and riches--or even basic needs. One who worries, he says, about these things is a person of little faith. He continued to counsel and instructed the little flock as he told them, "Fear not, it is your father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom" (verse 32). Hence, as we observed these unprecedented times (COVID-19) where people everywhere are worried, filled with anxiety, fatigue from job loss, death, the basic needs of life, and the future in many aspects, we got stuck at verse 32, "Fear not, little flock," and started exploring some of the "fear nots" in the scriptures. Be encouraged! Be empowered! Be enriched in faith and confidence that has for you a great recompense of reward as you overcome and live in victory, boldness, and God's precious love for you as you explore and apply these practical tips for triumph and positive changes in your life. "Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and all that are afar off, even as the Lord our God shall call." Acts 2:38-39.

What would it be like to live without fear? Join renowned philosopher Dallas Willard as he shares the biblically-backed secret to living with true contentment, peace, and security. In Life Without Lack, Dallas Willard revolutionizes our understanding of Psalm 23 by taking this comfortably familiar passage and revealing its extraordinary promises: "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want...Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil." Written with Willard's characteristic gentle wisdom, Life Without Lack helps you experience: God's comforting presence God's abundant generosity Peace and freedom from worry Based on a series of talks by the late author and edited by his friend Larry Burtoft and by his daughter, Rebecca Willard Heatley, Life Without Lack will forever change the way you experience the most well-known passage in all of Scripture. Praise for Life Without Lack: "Dallas Willard helps us to understand that the Twenty-Third Psalm is not meant as a nice sentiment or for kitschy decor, it is for the very thick of our lives, the very moment of crisis. Imagine what our personal lives, families, communities, and politics would look like if we rejected the frantic striving of our day, and instead embraced the life without lack offered to us in Jesus Christ. No one has helped me to imagine and enter into that life more than Dallas Willard. I recommend this book with great joy and hopeful expectation." --Michael Wear, bestselling author of Reclaiming Hope

John Piper writes, that it’s only when we know what makes God glad that we’ll know the greatness of His glory. Therefore, we must comprehend “the pleasures of God.” Unlike so much of what is written today, this is not a book about us. It is about the One we were made for—God Himself. In this theological masterpiece—chosen by World Magazine as one of the 20th Century’s top 100 books, John Piper reveals the biblical evidence to help us see and savor what the pleasures of God show us about Him. Then we will be able to drink deeply—and satisfyingly—from the only well that offers living water. What followers of Jesus need now, more than anything else, is to know and love—behold and embrace—the great, glorious, sovereign, happy God of the Bible. “This is a unique and precious book that everybody should read more than once.” —J.I. PACKER, Regent College, Vancouver, British Columbia
