Excerpt from The Elders' Journal of the Southern States Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1905, Vol. 2 In order that all weekly reports reach the office about the same time, it will be necessary for them to be mailed Saturday night, after mailing the summary of the work of the week, may be added to the report of the following day and thereby a complete account of the work accomplished by each Elder will be kept without mistake. It should also be remembered that these reports must be complete and therefore it is essential that particular attention be given to them. The work will be preserved, bound into volumes and thus become a history of the work done in the mission field. An oversight in the printed matter on the reports occurred and on this account it will be neces sary to write upon it the name of the conference. The proper place would be just over the name of the mission. In signing the summary it is well to write the name in full.
