When we enter a building, we owe our sense of well-being to parts of the building that we do not see or recognize. It is the same with the local church. Pillars stand faithfully behind the walls apart from the eyes of human admiration to hold up the weight of the building. PILLARS is a book that will prepare you to take your place behind the walls to support the local church on the solid footing of maturity. Paul Staack has written this book to call the body of Christ to responsible action. It is a manual for putting away childish things. The words in this work are not idle words. They are backed by 35 years of ministry experience in the same church. These chapters will give you a glimpse of a mature believer. Will you allow yourself to be poured into the mold of a pillar? If so, you will assume the mind and attitude of Christ. You will spend your life pouring yourself out in acts of love and service. You will taste the fruit of changed lives on the table of your influence and you will live the life you really want. The voice of a pillar in the church continues to speak to ensuing generations. This book will equip you to take your place as: PILLARS THE INVISIBLE SUPPORT TEAM OF THE LOCAL CHURCH

This book reintroduces ecclesiastical history in a concise manner that speaks both to the laymen and academic, informing them concerning the events and theology that the church struggled with and emerged victorious over the past two millennia. It is an objective study of ecclesiastical history that led the author to a more robust understanding of theology which challenges some of the novel differences in the numerous Protestant denominations of today.

"Save the People is engaging, funny, affecting and delightful. You'll never have more fun learning science." --Stuart Gibbs, bestselling author of the Spy School series "Serious science and great gags, with a bit of hope thrown in." --Steven Sheinkin, bestselling author of Bomb and Fallout An action-packed look at past, present, and future threats to humanity's survival--with an ultimately reassuring message that humans probably have a few more millennia in us. Scientists estimate that 99% of all species that have ever existed are now extinct. Whoa. So, it's not unreasonable to predict humans are doomed to become fossil records as well. But what could lead to our demise? Supervolcanos? Asteroids? The sun going dark? Climate change? All the above?! Humans--with our big brains, opposable thumbs, and speedy Wi-Fi--may be capable of avoiding most of these nightmares. (The T. rex would be super jealous of our satellites.) But we're also capable of triggering world-ending events. Learning from past catastrophes may be the best way to avoid future disasters. Packed with science, jokes, and black and white illustrations, Save the People! examines the worst-case scenarios that could (but hopefully won't) cause the greatest mass extinction--our own!

The Bible speaks differently of the transference of spirits from the secular world. It speaks of the transference of the anointing of the Holy Spirit from one person to another person or people. This will result in the person or people to whom the spirit has been transferred, walking in similar or even greater manifestation of the Spirit than the person from whom it was transferred. We see this in Elisha, who did twice as much miracles as his spiritual father Elijah, after he received the mantle or transference of his twain spirit. The Bible records that exactly twice as much miracles were done in the ministry of Elisha to that of Elijah. ElijahÕs last miracle (the parting of River Jordan) was ElishaÕs first. Consequently, he took off from where his spiritual father had stopped and advanced further beyond him.
