The Central African Republic (CAR) is a landlocked country in the heart of Africa. Its population of around 5 million inhabitants is one of the poorest in the world, despite the presence of valuable mineral resources such as diamonds, gold and uranium. CAR has a diverse ethnic makeup, with over 80 ethnic groups, each with its own language and traditions. One of the country’s largest ethnic groups is the Bayaka, who are traditionally hunter-gatherers, while the Bantu peoples are the largest group in terms of population. CAR has experienced significant political instability since its independence from France in 1960. The country has been plagued by coups, rebellions, and armed conflicts, which have severely impacted the country’s economic and social development. The two most recent crises took place in 2013 and 2020, with the former leading to a period of sectarian violence and displacement, and the latter leading to the overthrow of the incumbent president, Faustin-Archange Touadéra, by a coalition of rebel groups. Despite the country’s challenges, efforts are underway to stabilize the political situation and to address the humanitarian needs of the population.

Tourism on Congo Brazzaville. One of the objectives of the Congolese government is to make tourism a real growth industry that can contribute to local development. With the Congo Basin rainforests are the second largest after Amazonia, the country has a unique potential to attract visitors from all over the world. But the country's potential is not restricted to forests and its exceptional fauna. It is dotted with 170 km of coastline and many other sights to see. The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has been helping the Congo Brazzaville to draft a sustainable development of tourism through the network of national parks and protected areas of the CEMAC. Six projects of trans boundary protected areas have been identified in the sub-region of Central Africa, as part of the formulation of this project: the Sangha Tri National (Cameroon, Central African Republic, and Congo); Mikele Odjala-Dja (Cameroon, Congo, Gabon); Lesson Bateke Lefini (Gabon, Congo); Mayumba-Conkouati-Gamba (Gabon, Congo). Tourism in Democratic Republic of Congo. The scenic beauty, diverse culture and abundant tourist attractions have made the charming Landscape of Democratic Republic of Congo an ideal tourists' paradise. The Geography of Democratic Republic of Congo makes it one of the most unusual destinations on earth. It has been said that the Democratic Republic of Congo is the country around which all other African countries revolve. Two thirds the size of Europe with only 450 km of paved road- an area of vast jungles and dark corners, scattered outposts and tribal strong-holds, equatorial rainforests and active volcanoes truly one of the most untamed countries on the surface of the earth. As the country of Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire) is intersected by the Equator, the seasons are reversed in the north and south. Both of the regions have two short wet seasons and two short dry seasons while the central region experiences an equatorial climate with an average annual precipitation of 1,700 mm. Average temperature in Kinshasa varies between 18 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius. During the past 15 years, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, former Zaire, hasn't been accessible for tourists. Two subsequent wars made travel practically impossible. Now that the political situation has stabilized, tourists are able to visit this magnificent country again. Home to such elusive animals as the bonobo, okapi, bongo and Congo peacock, the country is in many ways defined by its people and whilst positive news from the area hard to find, optimism is not. Those who spend time with local people usually discover a depth of strength, resilience, faith and good humor that helps them to "digest" and respond to the situation with "tough compassion" rather than with despair. This eBook titled: "Tour in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC" is provided for your Guide and information when touring Democratic Republic of Congo, you don't need to get lost or frustrated during your tour in any way, and you will have the knowledge of the environment and the places you intend to visit ahead of your visit. The Central African Republic (CAR) came into existence on 1 December 1958 as a semi-autonomous member state of the Communauté (French Community), meaning that France still controlled its currency, defense, foreign affairs and national security. The history of the CAR can be interpreted in radically different ways. One the one hand the people of Central Africa have suffered enormously at the hands of slave traders, concessionary companies, French colonialists and African rulers, and their country remains largely ‘undeveloped.’ On the other most Central Africans have retained free use of land on which they grow crops and from which they extract numerous valuable resources. Their way of life is in the long run perhaps more sustainable than those of the ‘experts’ who come to assist them. The theme of essential continuity in the history of the CAR is as important, if not more important in the long run, than the themes of violent change, exploitation, and enduring dependence. Deep roots of continuity provide a surprising stability in the face of dramatic and often very painful change on the surface. The Historical Dictionary of the Central African Republic contains a chronology, an introduction, appendixes, and an extensive bibliography. The dictionary section has over 1200 cross-referenced entries on important personalities, politics, economy, foreign relations, religion, and culture. This book is an excellent access point for students, researchers, and anyone wanting to know more about the Central African Republic.

From travel in the ancient and classical world to the growth of underwater tourism in the Great Barrier Reef and the influence of the Gulf War on regional tourism, the Atlas of Travel and Tourism Development is a new departure from conventional texts, providing a unique overview of the growth of the tourism industry. Divided into three sections, the text looks first at the past, examining the influence of global geography on travel patterns, and provides an overview of the history of travel and tourism. It then moves onto the present, using a regional framework to demonstrate how the physical and historical geography of each area is related to tourism development. The final section provides a forecast of future trends for the next two decades.
