Daly has acquired a portrait of George Frederick Cooke copied by Mr. Lambdin's father, James Reid Lambdin, from a painting of the actor as Richard III by Thomas Sully. Enclosed with Lambdin's letter is his father's correspondence regarding the painting - 3 letters to J.R. Lambdin from C.H.Burnett, John Sartain and the General Post Office, London, and a copy of a letter from J.R.Lambdin to the Hon. M.W.B. Nugent for whom the copy was originally intended, 1871.
