Download Comparing the Intention to Use Dinar and Dirham Between Malaysian and Indonesian Consumers Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
The currency fluctuation, global financial crisis and decreasing value of money have prompted the practice of using gold dinar and silver dirham for investment, savings, hajj, paying zakat, and dowry as well as buying and selling. Growth of dinar and dirham usage in Malaysia and Indonesia has been an argumentative issue in some discussions. These two countries also cooperate to re-introduce dinar and dirham back to the community under World Islamic Mint Organization. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether differences on consumers' intention to use dinar and dirham as a medium of exchange exists between Malaysia and Indonesia. This study used self-administered questionnaire and online questionnaire distributed throughout Klang Valley and Jakarta. Based on adaptation of the Theory Reasoned Action (TRA), three factors were proposed, which are attitude, subjective norm and religiosity. Data were collected from 102 Malaysian and 110 Indonesian consumers and analyzed using multiple regression analysis with SPSS version 19. Findings show there is significant and positive impact of attitude on customers' intention in Malaysia and Indonesia. Subjective norm and religiosity show positive impact on customers' intention to use dinar and dirham, but this study fails to prove the presence of significant relationship between these two independent variables with intention. The findings however show generous understanding on customers' intention to use dinar and dirham and its antecedent in the context of dinar and dirham usage in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Download Gold Dinar: a Historical and Juristic Analysis Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Gold has played an important role in human life. Gold has desirable physical characteristics such as flexibility, durability, and immunity to tarnish. Its scarcity makes it a useful store of value. The history of gold as money could be traced back to 6,000 years of Ancient Egypt and the civilization of Mesopotamia. Gold has unique properties as a multicurrency investment and serves as an excellent medium for both within and across currency lines. In this book we will be discussing and arguing to use gold as an alternative currency under the rulings of Islam with aspect of muslim countries, for example, in Malaysia. Download Development of Intelligent Techniques for Dinar and Dirham Coins Detection and Price Prediction Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Nowadays, there are several efforts to reintroduce the gold (Dinar) and silver (Dirham) coins among Muslim countries and even worldwide. This phenomenon directly increases the awareness among the people to buy gold for investment and other usages (e.g. paying zakat, barter trading, dowry, etc). Unlike jewelry, Dinar and Dirham coins have standard values such as standard weight, diameter, thickness and material content. Consequently, the conventional material content testers normally used for jewelry do not fulfill the Dinar and Dirham coins verification requirement since the aforementioned standard values are not measured. In this research, a real time system is developed to detect these bimetallic coins based on material content, diameter and thickness analysis. The developed coins detection system is equipped with three sensors comprising of eddy currents sensor, diameter measurement sensor and infrared sensor. A Colpitts oscillator is used as an eddy current sensor to test material content and physical properties of the coins. This oscillator circuit is designed through a combination of Genetic Algorithm (GA), Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and basic circuit analysis techniques, while the coil for this oscillator is designed base on experimental approach. Diameter measurement sensor in this system is used to measure the diameter of coin, whereas an infrared optical sensor is used to detect the presence of the test coin inside the system. Furthermore, in order to assist Dinar and Dirham investors know the most appropriate time to trade these bimetallic coins, a price prediction modal is developed and incorporated with coin prediction system. This price prediction model is developed through a combination of Autoregressive (AR) model and ANN to predict the next day price of Dinar and Dirham. Unlike existing techniques, in this study ANN is used to find the model coefficients for AR prediction model. Coin detection system and price prediction system are integrated in such a way that each time the Dirham coin is detected by the coin detection system, the prediction system will predict the next day price of that Dirham. AtMega328 microcontroller is used as the data acquisition and controller unit for the developed system.

Download Financing the Development of Old Waqf Properties Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
This book presents successful case studies in Muslim and Muslim minority countries that have revolutionized the redevelopment of idle waqf properties into productive land trusts. The revival of this institution over the last two decades shows the growing optimism in galvanizing the socioeconomic role of waqf by adopting its flexible shariah measures. Innovative ways of financing redevelopment allow Muslims to extend these roles to include new beneficiaries. New uses for these properties include providing services to the community, opening jobs for the majority of people, funding small entrepreneurs, educating the masses, providing health care, and sheltering the poor and needy. Countries under study include Sudan, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, New Zealand, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Iran. Additionally, the book examines the International Development Bank's role in financing the development old waqf properties in different countries.
