Excerpt from A Soul's First Day in Heaven There is hardly a subject to be found that will revive and stimulate the faith and hope of God's people like reading and thinking of heaven; therefore, for this specific reason we felt divinely pressed to prepare this little volume. However, the greater amount of its contents has been selected from the writ ings of other authors. But to avoid a sameness, and also a tendency to detract from the interest of the reader, we have omitted the numerous quotation marks, or author's name following each para graph. Praying God's richest blessing to rest upon it, we send' it forth with prayer and love. Yours for Him. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. In this book, Michael Zarlengo uses Scripture to describe our first day in heaven. God has incredible rewards waiting for His people. Jesus Christ taught that all Christians should seek to be rewarded when we enter heaven. We will receive our rewards from God based on our actions on earth. As we know, these actions cannot earn us heaven. That only occurs by grace, through faith. However, on our first day in heaven our earthly actions, after salvation, are evaluated by God in order to determine the magnificent rewards He will give us. Did you know that the Bible describes our rewards and the exact actions we are to carry out in order to receive them? In the New Testament, the apostle Paul uses the Old Testament examples of the Tabernacle and Day of Atonement ceremony to teach us which actions, called gifts, we can bring to God for our rewards. Paul also teaches us that the Tabernacle and the Day of Atonement conceal the secret of what our first day in heaven will be like. We work hard in this life to retire well. Yet earthly retirement lasts for a short time. Our life in heaven will last for an eternity. Don't you want it to be a well-rewarded time?
